Overview
Cardinal Scale’s 225 Navigator weight indicator is available in indoor desktop and weatherproof NEMA 4X/IP66 stainless steel models for analog or digital scales. The 225 offers powerful functionality with simplified navigation and expansive connectivity options. The quick release desktop chassis is easy to use. Simply release two thumb screws on the back of the 225 desktop model and the chassis quickly opens for easy internal access. The 225 features one or two-pass operation for Truck ID Storage and provides up to 3 ID prompts for each weighment to track trucks and trailers, materials, and other items. You can add, edit, and delete these on the fly with the 225’s QWERTY keyboard. The ID storage menu allows you to set up weight alarm outputs, alarm thresholds, ID counts, and ID prompts for each weighment.
The 640 x 320 pixel resolution (5.5 in W x 2.75 in H / 6.2 in diagonal) monochrome graphics LCD with LED backlight is visible in direct sunlight. The LCD default is white characters/black background and may be converted to black characters/white background.
The menu-driven setup and configuration make the 225 easy to operate and control your weighing operations. It uses a familiar menu layout to the legacy 225. The intuitive QTouch circular touch pad provides easy navigation through menu prompts in your application. Multiple user-defined and preset functions are available simultaneously through 8 convenient soft keys on the 225 indicator. The stainless steel 225D-S and 225A-S models have adjustable control knobs on the sides of the mounting bracket to tilt the display where it’s easiest to view.
Batch up to 8 ingredients/bins (single speed) or up to 3 ingredients/bins (dual speed) with static or dynamic trim (up to 24 available with two optional DIO cards). The 225 provides accurate control over speed, gate sequencing, auto trim, bin count, auto print, and auto or manual dump. Set-up prompts guide operators through functions. Remote input is available for Gross, Net, Tare, Print, Zero, Start / Stop, and Dump Commands.
Single-ingredient filling is made easy with single or two-speed operation, static or dynamic trim, auto or manual dump, auto print, decumulative, and multi-drop options. Utilizing relays in an external enclosure, the 225 can provide complete control over fill gate, dump gate, and chatter gate sequencing.
Connectivity includes USB interface (USB A host port, USB B micro device port, and micro-SD storage), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2 BR/EDR/BLE, Ethernet TCP/IP, enhanced serial connectivity with RS232 and RS485, and up to 8 digital inputs and outputs (option card additions allow easy expansion). The 225 comes with RS232, USB, and other printer connectivity for ticket printing. You can set up tickets directly within the 225 using X-Y coordinate locations for items such as Time, Date, Gross, Tare, Net, Gross and Net Accumulators, Count, Piece Weight, and ID.
The 225 is NTEP, Measurement Canada, and OIML approved legal for trade, and ETL certified. It is made in the USA of American and global components.
